New Investments

Integrated Materials Inc. (IMI) received a bridge loan of $500K which was led by Silicom Ventures members. IMI is a leading manufacturer of Semiconductor-grade Silicon Towers, Boats, liners and other vital diffusion process products.

eBeam is closing first round. The signing of the documents for the investment in eBeam will take place this Monday. Silicom Ventures members will invest along side Globspan Capital Partners.

Sparta Systems Inc. a market leader in enterprise quality management tracking systems received $14 million in funding from AIG Healthcare Partners. Silicom Ventures introduced the investor to Sparta and helped to facilitated the transaction.

 

Portfolio Updates

Laser Bubble Technologies received a second phase of SBIR funding.

NanoMuscle raising 10M in round C.

Instant 802 Networks is making good progress but more specific information cannot be divulged due to it being in stealth mode.

V-Secure Technologies raised additional $3.4M

GuideTech which developed time measurement instruments, showed an improved performance in the first quarter of 2003.

InterVideo has re-filed for IPO at $11-$13 per share (the company had a reverse split last year)

 

Presented Companies Update

SeeRun signed a term sheet with two venture capital firms. The company reserved 200K for individual investors.

Conformative System, a venture-funded company that develops XML processing solutions secured $6.5 million in Series A from Austin Ventures.

 

Next Annual Symposium

The next Silicom Ventures Symposium will take place in Hawaii early next year. More information will be upcoming.

New Technology Center

New Technology Center is forming under the umbrella of Silicom Ventures. The center will assist technology companies that are seeking among others relocation, funding, partners, expansion marketing. Stay tuned for additional information.
