Joseph Bach

Mr. Bach has more than a decade of legal experience in all aspects of intellectual property law, including patent prosecution and litigation. Joseph has developed methodologies for, and counsels clients on, efficiently building and managing effective patent portfolios. Joseph has successfully handled and managed cases in a broad range of technologies and has litigation experience before the International Trade Commission and federal courts. Joseph was formerly Senior Director of Intellectual Property at Applied Materials, where he was responsible for all aspects of the company's intellectual property internationally. He hold a law degree from the Duke University School of Law and a B.S. Engineering and Applied Science from California Institute of Technology (Caltech).

Under his leadership, Silicom Ventures has grown to be the largest global business forum in the United States. Gadi's vast network includes business leaders and investors in Silicon Valley, Israel and Europe, as well as relationships with the governments of Israel, Spain, Mexico and The Netherlands.

Raffy Chatav

Mr. Raffy Chatav is a member of Silicom Ventures advisory board. Mr. Chatav is the Founder, CEO and President of Interro Systems, Inc. a developer, manufacturer and marketer of automotive diagnostic equipment. From 1989 to 1992 Mr. Chatav founded and served as Executive VP, Director of Edge Diagnostic Systems, a company involved in the automotive diagnostic equipment market. The company was eventually sold to Snap-On / Sun Electric. In 1980 Mr. Chatav co-founded DAISY Systems in the EDA industry and served as Sr. VP Corporate Officer. Mr. Chatav holds an MBA from California State Univ. Northridge and a BSEE from the TECHNION Israel Institute of Technology.

Dr. Israel NIv

Dr. Israel Niv is a member of Silicom Ventures advisory board. Dr. Niv was the founder and CEO of start-ups, a founder and GM of a company he took public and a Vice-President in a fortune 200 company. In Late 1998, Israel co-founded and became the Chairman of Optonics, a provider of transistor level probing systems. Israel sold Optonics to credence Systems in late 2002 and served as a president and GM of the Diagnostics business Group (DCG) that grew from $2M in 2001 to $18.5M in 2004. In May of 1999, Israel co-founded BeyondWork, an on-line provider of employee benefits. BeyondWork raised $15M during the Internet high days and served over 4000 companies. In 1986, Dr. Niv co-founded Opal Inc., a semiconductor equipment metrology company. Israel served as the VP of R,D&E, later as the GM & Executive VP of Sales and Marketing. From 1994 he served on Opal's Board of Directors, and was part of a 3-man team that took Opal public in May 1995. Dr. Niv became a VP at Applied Materials, when it acquired Opal Inc. in late 1996. Israel was responsible for the sales, marketing and business development of the Process Diagnostics group (PDC) (over $150M in annual sales). Israel received his B.Sc. in Chemistry (Summa Cum Laude), and a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. From 1982 to 1985 he worked as a Weitzmann Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Southern California (USC). In 1992, Israel completed the AEA/Stanford Executive Institute for Management of High-Technology Companies. Dr. Niv is a board member of Jordan valley - a semiconductor Metrology company, serves on a board of PGSP - an academic institution and is an advisor to several start-ups.

Hagi Schwartz

Hagi has held several executive positions at leading technology companies including service as the CFO of Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP) and Mercury Interactive Corporation (Nasdaq: MERQE) at the time of their respective initial public offerings. In addition, he previously served as the CFO for Atrica Inc. and HyperRoll Inc. Hagi is on the board of directors of Rackable Systems (Nasdaq: RACK) and on the advisory board of several technology companies. Hagi holds a B.Sc degree in economics and accounting from Bar Ilan University. Hagi enjoys bike riding in his spare time.
