THE STOCK MARKET CORNER, by Ogen Perry

In October of 2005, a small group of Silicom members formed an investment club. We pooled together a small investment and meet once a month to discuss possible investments in public securities. So far, we have made several investments and our portfolio is up nicely, outpacing the S&P 500 and the NASDAQ. Our current portfolio contains shares of:

Hansen Natural Corp. (HANS) A maker of soft drinks which doubled its revenues in the last year.
Honda Motor Co. Ltd. (HMC)
Infosys Tech Ltd. (INFY) and Satyam Computer Services Ltd. (SAY) Two Indian outsourcers of computer services.
Pioneer Cos Inc. (PONR) A manufacturer of chlorine related products that recently emerged from Chapter 11 and is rapidly paying off its remaining debts.
Syneron Medical Ltd. (ELOS) An Israeli manufacturer of lasers used in aesthetic procedures.

The group has also exited two investments, in Apple Computers (AAPL) and in Cheesecake Factory (CAKE), both with gains.
The group is not currently open to new members due to the need to hold regular, fully interactive meetings. However, I will be updating the activities and performance of the group in future issues of the Silicom newsletter. We are also looking into a way of affording greater visibility to our investments, for Silicom members.
